'I like creating a world where everything is soft and bright, and there is always some good to be found. It's not that i'm pretending thats theres nothing bad in the world, but when theres sadness or pain, i would try to show it in a way that the viewer feels hope'.......Alli Coate, Illustration play 2The reasons why i chose this artist was manily because i love the way she works and the particular style she has.
I love the way that she uses fabric and illustration combined into one collage piece, and then scanning images into a computer and then refining the small pencil lines into more bolder lines so they stand out more. The colours are warm and bright, which gives a nice feel to her work. I think the use of pattern and text on her work is very interesting. This artist doesnt actualy relate to my current project 'T is for Together' But i like the way she works and thought it would be a good idea to show an artist who works in a similar way that i will possibly approach my ideas for this project.
