Life Drawing.

I have to say that out of all the life drawing i have done in my entire life, this is my best study sheet. I found that working with tone instead of line went down alot better than working in just plane line. I also find that John is alot more easier to draw than alison. I also enjoyed working with charcoal and chalk to build up the lighter and the dark areas, combining the two together to create greys.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park/Hepworth gallery

On our visit to both the Yorkshire sculpture park and the hepworth gallery, i think i would have to say the the Yorkshire sculpture park was my favourite. I found that in the hepworth gallery alot of her stuff didnt interest me as musch as some of the sculptures and pieces in the sculpture park, i think the only reason as to why i prefered yorkshire sculpture park was mainly because the stuff there was more modern, and i love modern sculptures, i find them alot more entertaining and theres alot more to look at. I'm not saying that Barbara hepworth isn't at good sculptor, i just thought most of her work was rather bland, I didnt get to take as many pictures of her work as i would have liked, because most of the exhibition zones were forbidden of photographs. However i did take quite a few images from the Yorkshire sculpture park:
Out of most of the sculptures, i found this particular one to be my favourite, because of the way it was places, how all the letters were on thread and specificly in the middle of a corridor, and then the open window witht he sun shining in, created lovely shadows on the oposite wall. I have to say im really glad it was as nice as it was when we went, because i probably wouldnt have gotten the shadows.
