Little white lies, introducing new ideas.

I'm starting to think about the many different ways of creating images using some of the techniques i've been doing previously, such as collage and using inks and mono print, and then thinking how i could use these within creating a portrait of the main character in Drive. There are some many ways and i'm really stuck as to where i want to start my ideas, whether it be using collaage, inks/brusho's, paints, chalk and pens. Even thinking about materials that other people would never think about using or using together with other techniques.

I really like the work of Alli coate, who uses fabric and paper to create images, and i think those are both lovely combinations to consider for my final outcome.

Spare time illustration: Dallas Green

I did this drawing in my spare time, and i thought it gave me a good chance to practice drawing for this project, this drawing has nothing to do with my project but it certainly gave me a good idea of other possible ways i could start this project.
The quality of the image is rather bad.

Fffound [Beautiful/Decay Magazine

Recently i've been finding most of my inspiration on 'Fffound' theres just so much stuff on there, each image uses a different way of communicationg an idea across to other people. Not nesessary to do with illustration, because not just illustration inspires me.

Looking more into the idea of portraits and stuff for this new project 'Little white lies' has given me a good chance to explore the various ways of making portraits looks really effective towards other people. Looking at how they draw, what materials they use, what colours they use, are all important things to consider when i start to do my final portrait from 'Drive' My chosen movie for this project.

I found this portrait on Fffound, which was quoted/taken from a magazine named Beautiful/decay magazine, and its just a simple line drawing, but the ways iots been drawn and its appearance and characteristics of the person in the image all say something, especially about the magazine itself. I just want to start by looking at simple line drawings and drawings that use black and white tones.

Fffound

I found these two images when i was browsing Fffound for some artists to relate to my recent project 'Looking up, Looking down' They didn't relate to my project at all, but i really like these, and the idea that they go together is really interesting. I think they relate more to my current project, for the little white lies front cover, creating a portrait of one of the main characters from a set of four chosen films. I like the limited colour palette used and this is something i may consider an important part of this project.
(I couldnt find the name of the artist)
